Since the Road Shower 4 will pressurize to 65 PSI and will usually have more than 20 PSI, it works well with the Eccotemp. We have tested this unit. It is about the size of a small brief case. It is a little large, but can fit in most SUV’s or vans that are equipped with camping gear. It needs propane. For us, a large 40 lb propane tank is too big to carry in our vehicle. So we use a small green propane bottle that we carry for our stove. See adapter below.
To use it, hang it vertically from your cross bars or roof rack. Connect your Road Shower hose to the inlet. Connect the included shower sprayer and hose to the outlet. Connect your propane tank to the propane inlet using included hoses and adapters. Insert 2 D-cell batteries. Turn the water on. Turn the burner knob and water knob to Max. Press the on/off button to on. You should hear a clicking sound that means the gas has ignited. The water will be warm instantly. If you have some sun and the water starts off a little warmer than the water can get hotter from the unit. If the water is not quite hot enough, turn down the water flow. The slower the flow the hotter the water gets.
These are nice for when it is cold and/or you are in a campground and need privacy. Cost around $32 on Amazon. They fold into a circle. Once you get the hang of it, they can be set up in about 1 minute, and taken down in 1 minute.
